The way

What the body, accepts in youth,
It resists all the harder, as we age.
And yet in the change, health is
Still measured similarly: Who,
Can respond to increase in decrease?
In new discomfort, will you temperate?
Despite old limbs lagging, dragging low,
Will you bow forward fast, or slow?
Stretch longer, stay loose,
Strong. Eat cleanly, sleep well,
And persist. Only through moderation,
And lonely purpose, can man
Resist.
