Lightshow
Do you yell at unseen clouds,
When their rain falls,
By natural laws, and
Makes you wet, sans umbrella?
So why bemoan your fate, when
Your partner speaks ill words,
In their reaction, to an inane question?
For it is not the first time, is it?
(This bears mention.) And since
You know their capricious state true,
That their reaction is often unpredictable,
Remember what is up to you
Instead — what can help you see it
Clearly? For it is better, surely,
To remember your umbrella in storm, or
To just dry yourself off and go on, no blame,
knowing clouds can be rainclouds un-tame.
As it is to recall your calm tolerance, when
Even the very deepest one in your heart,
Might offer scorn — to recall their nature,
And be forewarned,
and unharmed,
Since you are and have been,
Forearmed.
