Importune

There is magic in prayer, spells,
But not the kind the Sunday-priest sells,
Nor as written in grimoires and taboo, secret books,
Found in any bookstore, near the bibles, if one looks.
No, it is the inner notions they espouse, chiefly that
We need not over-worry ourselves, and should
Trust in the true power of being present,
In the present, whether God, Spirits, Angels or Demons
Are truly real, or disconcertingly absent.
